BHM 1137.
51mm. Silver. By B. Wyon & G. Mills.
Obverse with laureate head of George IV, reverse with Hibernia standing on the shore welcoming the King as he disembarks from a boat. Edge engraved 'IRISH SILVER, FROM THE BALLY-CORUS MINE, COUNTY OF DUBLIN'.
Virtually as struck with fiery, colourful surfaces. Housed in contemporary fitted case with handwritten pinned note stating 'This medal struck to commemorate George 4th's visit to Ireland, belonged to George, Earl of Kingston'. Exceedingly rare in silver with very few examples known.
