A fantastic set of 11 medals commemorating various Royal events, 10 of which were produced by Joseph Carter and formerly the property of Mr & Mrs Collins, the daughter and son-in-law of Joseph Carter. This collection consists of:

  • 1851 Great Exhibition 51mm white metal medal - By Allen & Moore, Eimer 1462, BHM 2419. Presented to Joseph Carter's wife by Allen & Moore.
  • 1887 Victoria Jubilee 65mm bronze medal - By Carter, BHM 3232.
  • 1893 Marriage of The Duke of York to Princess Mary 39mm bronze medal - By Carter, BHM 3441. (BHM only lists this medal in WM and silver).
  • Same as last but bronzed.
  • 1897 Victoria Diamond Jubilee 46mm bronze medal - By Carter, BHM 3535 (only listed by BHM in silver).
  • 1897 Diamond Jubilee Glorious Reign 39mm silver medal - By Carter, BHM 3536.
  • 1897 Victoria Diamond Jubilee 38mm gilt white metal medal - By Carter, BHM 3241.
  • 1902 Coronation of Edward VII 39mm silver medal - By Carter, BHM 3752.
  • Same as last but gilt. (The only gilt version listed in BHM is AE, this medal is silver).
  • 1911 George V Coronation 39mm silver medal - By Carter, BHM 4027.
  • Same as last but bronze.

Generally About as Struck and housed in custom made fitted wooden tray case. Accompanied by two sheets of typed information. A fantastic set of medals directly attributed to their creator including rare types. The medals that are unlisted in certain metals possibly extremely rare and accounted for by the fact that Carter would have had the ability to create off metal examples.
