51mm. Gilt bronze. By F. Bowcher for Vaughton.

London Imperial International Exhibition, Shepherds Bush, prize medal. 

Obverse with Fame crowning a male and female artisan with a wreath, reverse with Fame with a trumpet, viewing the exhibition buildings with two cherubs holding a plaque named to Augener Limited.

Virtually as struck and with a matt finish. Housed in fitted case of issue and very rare.

Augener & Co. was a music-publishing business in London, established by George Augener (1830–1915), originally "Georg", a German national born in Fechenheim near Frankfurt am Main, who had previously been an apprentice with André's publishing house in Offenbach.
