Obverse with face of Guy, the gorilla housed at London Zoo, within a legend reading 'Man Holds The Fate Of The Animal Kingdom In His Hands', reverse with two humpback whales below boat on the surface. These medallions were sold in aid of World Wildlife Fund.
Undated but the gold counterpart of this medal is found hallmarked for 1972. About As Struck and attractively toned. Housed in fitted case of issue. A wonderfully artistic and intricately engraved medal.
