Golden Jubilee, 1887. Obverse with two allegorical figures raising crown above central frieze containing crowned and veiled bust, reverse with wreath of roses, thistles and shamrocks, surmounted by crown, with legend.
Virtually as struck and beautifully toned. Of excellent quality and extremely rare.
Unrecorded in standard catalogues but some years ago we sold a similar medal commemorating the Diamond Jubilee of 1897. It has the same obverse but a different reverse legend.
