Obverse with view of York Cathedral, reverse with view of Cliffords Tower. The reverse is based on a medal from 1796 by T. Wyon Sr (BHM 418). BHM only lists this medal in AE gilt and states that no specific reason for the issue of this 1825 version has been found.
