Obverse with Calcutta city emblem of a lion in the upper half of a circle, sailing ship below. Reverse named to Mrs N.R Cleaver and dated 1944.
Extremely Fine, nicely toned and rare.
Puddester notes that this new, second, obverse replaced the older one on 21st November 1944. It was awarded immediately as he notes a specimen dated 1944, but this suggests that examples dated 1944 are probably rarer than those dated 1945 or later, due to them only being awarded for just over a month.
