Obverse with shield with lion supporters either side, reverse showing frontal elevation of the Assay Office. One medal is named to George Chance for the years 1878-1903, the other named to John H. Chance for the years 1894-1919. Edges both hallmarked for Britannia (95.8%) silver and with date letter A, for 1925.
Both medals About as Struck, albeit one with an edge knock at 4 o'clock on obverse, and toned. Housed in fitted green leather cases of issue and very rare.
