Obverse with a huge eagle above cathedral, head towrads radiate sun, reverse with legend above and around a laurel branch. Edge hallmarked.
Good Extremely Fine and housed in fitted case of issue. A wonderfully styled and scarce medal.
This medal was given to each man employed on the building who had then served 10 years of over. This was to mark the 30th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone by King Edward, and the 10th anniversary of the consecration of the first part of the Cathedral in the presence of the King and Queen. About 100 medals were struck.
