32mm. Silver. By Spink & Son, obverse effigies by J. Langford Jones.
Obverse with conjoined busts, reverse with Royal arms with supporters.
Mounted on ribbon with integral suspension loop. This ribbon and bar is know for the common medal of W&E 7280A but not for this variety. Some light hairlines otherwise brilliant, Extremely Fine and housed in fitted red leather Spink & Son case of issue.
Interestingly, when this medal was acquired by us, it was accompanied by a rare gold brooch that had been presented to the ladies in waiting of Queen Elizabeth II, after the Royal Tour of 1954. Therefore, it seems likely that this medal was probably presented to a member of the Royal Household to celebrate the 1937 coronation.
