Good Extremely Fine and featuring two wonderfully sculpted portraits. Very rare.
This type of medal was originally struck to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the reading of the Darwin-Wallace paper and was dated 1908. This is one of the restrikes from 1958 to commemorate the 100th anniversary, the only difference being the date. The society was selling these medals in 1959 for 35s each.
