One medal is for The British National Stamp Exhibition, hallmarked on reverse with J.R Gaunt hallmark. The obverse features the same young head portrait of Victoria that was used on the 1837 Guildhall medal and, more widely, on the Penny Black stamp. Edge engraved '1987 D.I Fraser'. The second medal is for the British Philatelic Exhibition and is named in reverse, within wreath, to the same recipient, for 1986.
