Silver medal celebrating the invention of the Industrial dynamo, and homage of electricians is presented to its inventor Zénobe Gramme, in its inscription. The medal is also inscribed Bruxelles and dated 27th March 1898. The obverse depicts a seated figure of the goddess Minerva, holding a laurel wreath in her right hand and a wreath and a palm-branch in her left hand. On the reverse there is an inscription in French, described above, within an oak and laurel wreath. Edge stamped 'Argent'.
