Obverse with bare head of Napoleon III, reverse showing crowned imperial arms, border around of the arms of the participating foreign nations, named in tablet to 'T Kemp & Sons 1855'.

Good Extremely Fine and a wonderfully detailed medal. Housed in embossed leather case of issue.

Thomas Kemp & Sons were silk manufacturers based at No. 20 Spital Square, London and are known to have exhibited at the Great Exhibition in 1851. Owner Thomas Kemp retired in 1857 to Orford House, Walthamstow.
